Waiting in the hospital

I'm in the waiting room right now waiting for Ellen to come out of surgery for her cerclage. I want to thank everyone for their prayers and warm energy. The outpouring of support has been quite touching.
Now on the geek side me, I'm amazed at how people are contacting us. Most of the communication is via this blog and Facebook profiles. A bunch of you are even using the Facebook mobile application to get up to the minute updates (from my facebook status) as well as communicating directly. One of our friends is backbacking in the Grand Canyon and his only means of communication is Facebook mobile and he's been kept up to date all along. It's truly an amazing time we live in.
In other geekery (you gotta do something to pass the time), check out this way cool (or way warm) air blanket. No cloth required.

The blanket was truly warm. I've never seen anything like this and I've been in for surgery a couple of times, but it totally makes sense. The dumb shit in life amazes me sometimes. :-)
OK, Elle should be out of surgery in a few minutes. Either Elle or myself will update the blog later today.
