Peter has just sent more photos from our climb up Mt. Rainier. They are included in my set on Flickr, and they begin with this photo. There are some real doozies in there, including this great video from Camp Muir.
...and don't forget Chad has his photos available too.
Wow, that was only just a week ago.

The inaugural climb for Climb For Kids was earlier this week and it was definitely an adventure. The climbers on this first trip included James Goodman, Chad Behling, Peter Wall, Kevin MacDonald and myself. We all were in great shape and had our sites on the summit, but it appeared that mother nature had other plans for us.
As we ...

Those of you who receive the news letter for Climb For Kids, already received this message, but I am posting it here again for those who might have missed it. I may try to send out updates via twitter, but coverage on the mountain is very spotty. Wish us all luck!

It's been a while since I blogged. Sheesh have I been busy and on top of that my Tablet PC died. It had a good run for 4 years, so it was about time I replaced it. Yes, the rumors are true, I did buy a Mac to replace it, but I'll save that story for another post.
Next week, Monday thru Wednesday, 4 other climbers and myself will be ...

I've been back at work for a few weeks since the whole Emma ordeal and things have been interesting. My consulting biz is having a hard time rejuvenating itself. Opportunities present themselves for business, but each deal has fallen apart, which is a little weird. This obviously has had a negative impact on cash flow and my stress level. Neither ...

Ellen and I have been truly touched by the support from everyone all over the world during the last 3 weeks. It has been nothing short of spectacular. Emma would have been amazed at this outpouring of love from all the people she touched.
Some of you have asked for more tangible ways to help us out. Ellen and I already have a house full of ...

Finally, I'm writing a blog entry that has nothing to do with either Ella nor Emma. That means they are both improving! Remember, ''No Gnus is good Gnus, with Gary Gnu!''
Today, I participated with a bunch of my friends to climb staircase of the Columbia Tower in an effort to raise money for leukemia research. The event is called ...

Well, we got awakened this morning at 5:30 am by a phone call from the hospital. Emma's most recent blood gas analysis was completely out of whack. Her CO2 was in the 90's when it should be in mid 40's and the thought was Emma's pulmonary edema was worsening. They didn't know if a lung had collapsed or if it was something else. Ellen quickly ...

We are finally seeing all of this long hard work pay off. Today was incredibly special. First was the weighing. Emma is over 2100 grams (very close to 5 lbs) and we expect her to reach her goal of 2500 within 2 weeks, if not sooner. Ella is gigantic, weighing in at almost 8 lbs. Wow.
The babies have almost reached full term, as they are at 39 ...

Look Ma, no isolette! Yep, both kids have officially graduated out of their isolettes and I couldn't be happier. This was the view that struck me as my freezing butt walked into their room this morning (I decided to ride my scooter into the hospital -- it as 35 degrees out... Yikes!). Not only are the kids out of their isolettes, but they are ...
